ClearBank partners with Ozone API to accelerate Open Banking worldwide

Today, Ozone API, the global open banking leader, and ClearBank, an enabler of real-time clearing and embedded banking, have announced an exciting new multinational partnership. The partnership marks a significant step, combining Ozone API’s leading standards-compliant Open API platform with the capabilities of the ClearBank platform, to ensure ClearBank can deliver open banking APIs that meet the highest global standards.

This move also marks ClearBank‘s continued global expansion plans after it launched in Europe via the Netherlands last year. ClearBank’s collaboration with Ozone API will bring huge opportunities to markets ripe for open banking acceleration, well beyond PSD2 compliance.

By merging Ozone API’s unique experience in driving open banking globally with ClearBank’s deep understanding of banking and financial services, this combination will empower ClearBank’s customers to use open APIs that comply with standards and regulations in the UK and the EU. They will have the tools to capitalise on the open finance opportunity, offering a scalable and future-proof approach.

Ozone API already operates across global markets in Europe, the Middle East, LATAM, and North America and this collaboration now offers ClearBank an opportunity to access the best expertise on open banking and API integration while bringing innovation to more banking and financial markets.

Huw Davies, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Ozone API, is enthusiastic about the partnership, “Working with ClearBank is an exciting development for us. Having already supported mutual customers in the past, it’s fantastic to combine our technologies to create a next-generation, open banking-ready technology stack.”

Spiros Theodossiou, Chief Product and Technology Officer at ClearBank, commented, “This partnership is key for us in ensuring we maximise the capabilities of our platform for our clients. Collaborating with Ozone API has allowed us to do just that, not only in the UK but also in the Netherlands as we expand into Europe.”
